The Lumberjack Restaurant

Very old skool find in Windsor! They had a 55+ menu to die for and it appears they serve all day breakfast with loads of choices! When one liver and onions on the menu I’m in!! I wasn’t disappointed!! Add your own salt and pepper - but that’s the way I like it!

I recently did an inspection for the new owners (who are really nice people). They offered to treat my family out for a dinner. My wife and 3 year old son came out on a Sunday. I made sure to give some honest feed back to the owners as well. They are working to improve the food quality as well as bring in better cooks. It will take some time but im sure it will slowly get better. They don't have access to the google page either so they cant respond. We ordered the potato skins and French onion soup for apps. The soup had good flavor, the potato skins could use a bit more seasoning. I did mention this to the owner. I had the pot roast which was excellent. Im a big guy and the portion was huge. I struggled to finish it. The garlic mash was also spot on. My wife got the half perch dinner. She

Visited the lumberjack with my family! 5 kids under 11, two adults and we had such a great time. The staff was accommodating and friendly , and offered many great things to keep our kids entertained! One of the staff even played a joke on the kids and offered them white crayons to colour with! Food arrived, hot foods were hot, cold were cold. I ordered the steak and ribs naturally! This has easily been one of my favourite steaks top 10 for sure! Escargot was delicious, not rubbery like most other restaurants. An array of craft beers available, I tried their closest to amber beer and it hit the spot so good I had to have 2! Greek salad, potatoes, veg all second to none! Kids prices were reasonable and half price apps were good! This is a destination we visit again!

We struggled to get a server to take the order and when we finally got a server, he forgot to take the order to the kitchen. He was using paper. We waited an hour for food and they didn’t start making our food until we complained. And then one meal had to go back because it was incorrect. I will add that I have been here three times in two months time and the coffee is terrible.
