The Loyalist

Came into The Loyalist on a busy Saturday night hoping to snag two bar seats with no reservation and were pleasantly surprised. The bar was full when we arrived, but the hostess was incredibly kind and helpful, letting us know a couple of seats should open up soon and handing us menus while we waited. Not even five minutes later, she guided us right to our bar seats. We glanced at the menu, but we already knew what we were there for, the burgers. I like the drinks at this place, but once you wander outside the burger section of the menu, it’s a culinary trust fall with no one catching you. The good: The Old Fashioned was great, the Banana Bread at Work drink was straight-up 🔥 (whoever came up with this deserves a promotion), and the burger was delicious. Not life‑changing, but definitely top 5 — like the dependable friend who always shows up on time and never asks you to help them move. The bad: The mussels… smelled. Not “fresh ocean breeze,” but “the ocean is filing a complaint.” If you’re going to serve mussels, please introduce them to some acidity. Lemon, wine, vinegar — literally anything. A great bar! Delicious hamburger! Incredible fries!! Service was amazing! Attention to detail was stunning! I made a reservation, saying we were celebrating our son's engagement. They had a handmade card made up congratulating us! And some bubbly! It was a dark and icy night, but it was well worth the trip. Hubby loved the hamburger, it was his first time here. We will be going back for more! I know the mussels here are incredible so next time, that's mine!

I know their sister restaurant has the Michelin, but seriously, this place is just amazing and deserves a nod. Maybe some of the best burgers around (yes, plural, because all their burgers are awesome). Any egg dish they have with caviar is incredible. Drinks are unique and generous. Service is top top top notch. Comfortable and cozy. Price will get ya but it is absolutely worth it.

Came for the burger. Which to be honest is a bit on the pricey side but it's a pretty famous burger. The dill pickle brine is everything. The burger is pretty good, cooked to a perfect med-rare. The fries were delicious...similar to McD's. The staff was great and the atmosphere was fantastic. It's a classy pub/bar field but not overly crowded or loud.
