The Lodge Restaurant & Bar

Fast service. Nice selection of beers and drinks. Nachos with BBQ pork were large and delicious. Fried mushrooms were delicious with a different garlic sauce! Great to have a local neighborhood bar and restaurant!!

What a fantastic place to eat! The service was amazing, the server was so friendly. My husband and I shared the biscuits and gravy with eggs and potatoes and the green chili burrito and it was all so amazing. We were camping at the Aspen Acres campground because we live in Colorado Springs but if we lived closer we would definitely eat there more.

If a customer orders something on the menu that isn’t available, they should be told ASAP. Only after my food was sitting in front of me was I told there was no coleslaw for the top of my pulled pork sandwich like the menu said. Also, I didn’t get a choice of barbecue sauce as the menu states. A pork sandwich without coleslaw for me is a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. With coleslaw, it’s a 9. I wouldn’t have ordered this item if I’d have known there was no coleslaw. It’s like ordering a steak with that is advertised with mushrooms and onions that comes without the mushrooms and onions. Or ordering a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw that comes with only coleslaw between the bun. This little lodge is located in the San Isabel national forest. It's open for breakfast and lunch Thursday through Sunday. It was exciting when we realized that some of the staff used to work at the old Max's diner in Colorado City. The service was fantastic, The burgers and steak sandwich were not the best Ive ever had but the food was hot and our orders were 100% correct. We already have plans to come back for breakfast. It looks like they are planning on having a bar but there was nothing complete when we were there.
