The Lobster Shanty

The service was fantastic and when serving the food the details on the plate go a bit past restaurants that just slap the food on a plate. Everything we ordered was very good. The lobster pot pie was had the baked bread lid on it and then there is a picture of the inside with lots of chunks of lobster. They do not skimp.

Came here with my wife during our 1-year anniversary trip 😊 When I was looking for cool places to eat I was intrigued by the outdoor seating near a saltmarsh. So when we came here I was excited that there was "Marsh Side" seating available 😁 We liked the woody interior, it was cute too. And the outdoor seating by the Marsh is just plain cool! There's a first time for everything, I had never done outdoor seating like this before! I also brought my binoculars to watch the birds that flew in and were foraging in the Marsh. I started off with the lobster and shrimp bisque. Oh my goodness, I think it's the best lobster bisque I've ever eaten, it was so good! And I loved that it came in a mug! My family and I were looking for a good seafood dinner while on vacation at OCMD. The lobster shanty had a great lookng menu and great reviews so we chose to stop in. There was so wait ( we arrived around 4pm) the staff was very friendly and attentive,( I am a server myself )and our server was amazing! The food was absolutely amazing and exceeded my expectations! The portion sizes were huge! I got a shrimp/lobster salad ( duo-something it was called) everything down to the dressing was phenomenal, it was the biggest salad i ever seen served at a restaurant before. My dad got the lobster pot pie. We also shared crab and artichoke dip and got the chowdah soup and lobster and shrimp bisque. Everything was just amazing. No complaints at all. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend!

We stopped here for early dinner since it was the day of closing.Our waiter was excellent, food was excellent, steamed shrimp seasoned perfectly, raw oysters, clams, veggies were all cooked perfectly. We will be back for sure.

Came here for dinner with a larger group. I got the lobster roll as my entree. It was great. A decent amount of lobster but the roll was the home run. Fries were gross. Recommend passing. Very soggy and bland. Got the wings for an appetizer and the shanty sauce was amazing. Would recommend. Service felt a little slow compared to other establishments. Views were great too. Parking is TOUGH
