The Lily Inn

The room and building were gorgeous. We were in room 4 with a lovely bathroom with a whirlpool bath. The services were not great- we were told 8-9:30 there was a made to order breakfast, but we got there at 8:45 and were given mediocre scrambled eggs, a bit of sausage and a bowl of berries. Another guest arrived shortly before 9:30 and they did not receive any food. The only staff we interacted with were from a text before we arrived with information about getting in and questions about dietary needs for breakfast- which were not particularly met by the chef in the morning. A lovely garden in the back that was not very well maintained - but we were there in November. Really nice little town with a handful of shops and restaurants and a gorgeous view by the river.

My husband and I stayed in room 1, with 2 single beds. We were allowed to drop off our overnight bags early, because we had an event to attend that afternoon. We knew that we would not be back to the Lily Inn B&B until early evening. I was texted the code to get into the Inn, and we dropped off our overnight bags. Which we appreciated. No one was around when we arrived a little after 5:30 in the evening at the Inn. The Inn was dark, deserted and I felt as if I was in an air B-n-B, and not a Bed and Breakfast or an Inn! The house itself is lovely. But in need of some upgrades, refurbishing and a good cleaning! The couches and chairs in the sitting room and little lounge upstairs were very uncomfortable. Really have a tough time with this one but it‘s a perfect example of the time in which we live. We had an unexpected house guest around Christmas and really didn’t have our guest room in order so we made a reservation at the LILY INN. Reservation was made on Christmas Eve for a one night stay on the 26th. Two hours before check in we received a call from Tyonna at the LILY INN telling us they were having trouble with their credit card machine and could not process the charge on American Express. We were instructed to send Tyonna $224.59 via venmo and assured there would be no charge on American Express….well guess what….the malfunctioning credit card machine processed the $224.59 charge AND our friend at the LILY INN received $224.59 via Venmo. We received a credit from American Express

Booked two rooms with my parents for a friends wedding and the experience was odd and disappointing. It says they are staffed till 7pm but got a text with a code and a message stating my key was in my room at 2:30pm. All good, got into the Inn and my room was just fine. My parents however did not have a key in their room. My mom, brother, husband and I walked down to the garden to get some fresh air. Garden could be lovely but poorly taken care of and furniture cushions were wet and in sad shape. My brother found, somewhat buried in the dirt, a room key (seriously I'm not kidding here) we laughed and said "wouldn't it be funny if this was your room key." We picked it up intending to leave it with the staff but wouldn't you know, it totally opened our door... Wow I have no words for
