Customer Reviews
We were on our way to another restaurant when I’d said I’d never been to the Lighthouse and we decided to try it on a whim. It was quite a disappointment, besides the company of being together. The service informed us when we arrived that the kitchen was running behind and it would be about a 20 minute wait. The restaurant itself had nice old wooden beams, but overall looks outdated and in need of a renovation. We started with the salad bar since that was the only thing that was available, but it surprisingly wasn’t included in the entree. The salad bar was very minimal for its not included price. For the meal, the chicken and biscuits looked more like a soup. It was not pleasing in any way. The French onion soup I ordered didn’t have the normal flavor and the cheese wasn’t tasty either.
I was not optimistic after reading reviews, but since we were staying at the Hampton Inn next store I decided to dine here regardless. My partner and I ate here Feb. 13 and 14 for dinner. The 13th we had the rib eye and salmon special, and Cora was our server. 5 stars to both the meal (both perfectly cooked and delicious!) and service (Cora was awesome). Everything was nicely seasoned. The salmon was juicy and flavorful, most restaurants overcook salmon. And most restaurants also overlook the vegetable, but the carrots and beans were perfectly cooked, not mushy, and were so tasty with bits of real garlic. We were so impressed that we went there the next night, Valentines Day. Jillian was our server and she was just as great as Cora. We both had burgers with fries this time. Once again,
My husband and I were there tonight for my birthday dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. But this staff went above and beyond. Lesee was our waitress she was wonderful. God bless her she is a veteran. Thank you for your service. The chef came out and introduced himself very pleasant and making us want to return. The topping on the evening was a gentleman who took a phonecall from someone who asked if we were there this man took a chance walked up to me asking if it was me. It turned out he was a friend from ct that wanted to pay for our dinner. He, then proceeded to visit and talk with us. This was a wonderful experience thank you lighhouse. I will not forget this birthday.
Ive been wanting to try this place out and today we did. Went right in as soon as they opened at 11:30am. Ordered the calamari for appetizers and it was really good and good size serving. The sauce for the calamari was just crazy good! We ordered the Maple Jerk Chicken Sandwich for our main meal. The chicken was nice and crispy and buns were fresh. Maple sauce was really good! I wish I could ordered it on the side (maybe next time!). Our server was good, I did not get her name but she was good and attentive. Maybe name tags for the servers would be good. Overall good atmosphere with good music. Plenty of dining area. Table & chairs, booths, high tables and bar. Couple of tv’s by the bar where we were seated. Restrooms were clean. We would definitely comeback.
Very friendly staff and delicious burgers! Only reason for four stars is that the wait was a bit long. Good cocktails too
