I don’t need to say nothing else !! The food is great every single time I come here it’s hot. It’s fresh. It’s well seasoning, the macaroni and cheese melt in your mouth. The greens 🥬 on point ! Never ever disappointed!!!! Check them out !!
I love pouring into Black businesses, but let’s be real—sometimes the service, the food, or the price point doesn’t always meet the expectation. This time though? Different story. We’re visiting from DC and Atlanta and decided to try The Licking, and baby, they delivered. Solid 9 out of 10—no hesitation. A young lady named Danaisja was our server/hostess, and she was the real MVP of the entire operation. She started out going above and beyond. She remained hospitable and professional throughout the entire customer experience. Truly exceptional. The food? No complaints. Seasoned, satisfying, and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was clean, chill, and the music was at that perfect volume where you can vibe and still hear yourself think. Overall, The Licking understood the assignment.
I got the fried turkey wing dinner and my wife got the chicken Alfredo pasta with veggies. I must say that I was skeptical about the fried turkey wings but they were delicious peas and rice was so so. The green beans were seasoned well. The chicken Alfredo was delicious. I would definitely go back.
Ryia was awesome food was amazing the wings was the best, I also tried counch for the first time not my cup of tea but not bad though it was a great place to eat
Okay im going to be honest, I came in on a Saturday around 2pm it wasnt busy at all but the seating is very weird and confusing. Nobody welcomes you when you walk in and its unclear if its seat yourself or they give you a table. Okay now the server, it was just me and I had a simple order, it seem as though she wasnt actively listening and my order came out wrong. To be very clear, they will charge you full price for mac and cheese if you get a dinner. I got plain wings and mac and cheese. Its a NO for me, the chicken had no taste and the mac and cheese was bland. Its definitely not worth the hype. Dont go here, a 5 wings and mac and cheese will cost you $40.00 per person, not worth it to me. I wouldn’t eat here again.
