Truly unique spot right off Highway 1 in Moss Landing. The food is absurdly delicious and must be tried to truly understand all the flavors that go into each different dish. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Have a ample supply of various board games you can play while enjoying your visit. Not to mention a great variety of local wines and beers. That pair very well with the food. The outside seating is also dog friendly. This was my fifth time visiting and I definitely will be back again soon.
Wow, just wow! The food here is absolutely incredible. A couple of weeks ago I ordered the grilled cheese with peppers and a bowl of soup that was out of this world. Today I was craving a good burger, so I went straight for the Food Lab Burger. If you've ever been to In-N-Out or Tommy's in Southern California, imagine if the two had a love child, that's exactly what this burger tastes like. Two perfectly smashed patties on a brioche bun, "animal-style" cheese, mustard, a chili blend, and a fresh tomato. I didn't want it to end. The garlic fries were cooked to perfection, too. Note, the wait may be a little long for the food to be freshly prepared, but it is worth the wait. Bring your appetite and your patience! On my first visit, they had a live jazz ensemble playing, which was fantastic
My smash burger was too pink for my liking & the bun was soggy, too heavy on the mustard. If you’re into all that then this place is for you. The garlic parsley fries were amazing, crispy but not burnt and the garlic was cooked perfectly allowing all the necessary flavors to be pronounced in the fries
Stopped out of curiosity as I’ve driven but this business probably 50 times since it opened last September, and was very very pleasantly surprised at the really relaxing atmosphere, the quality of the wines and beers on offer, and the best nachos I’ve had. Absolutely worth stopping on your drive down 1. Somm Ryan Cooley set up a great wine program here featuring small local producers (full disclosure including friends of mine) and the level of cooking from FoodLab judging only By the 1 dish ordered was a really pleasant surprise. Not at all the typical tourist trap fried greasy Sysco mess one too often finds along tourist routes. Support them and local producers they feature!
Great place to stop and get a bite. Todd is a very talented chef. The pasta special, burger, and clam chowder were delicious.
