The Kookaburra Downtown

We came for the Aussie pies and were a bit underwhelmed. The drinks were great but they initially forgot we ordered hot chocolate in addition to our cappuccino. They made up for it with a $5 discount card for our next visit, classy. The Aussie pies are very much like a traditional meat pie in that they are dense and a bit dry. We did not try the offered hot sauce. I feel like it needed some cheese, creaminess, or gravy texture to balance the texture and flavors. Worthwhile experience overall but next time we will stick to drinks ac other pastries. Enjoy.

While enjoying the Night of Lights we stopped in for some coffee and found ourselves enjoying Hot Chocolate! Oh my. It was fantastic. Creamy and chocolaty very good. The service is excellent and our staff person explained the different flavors in each of the whole bean coffees which we purchased. They shared really cool stickers and we also got their homemade granola. Be sure and check these folks out on King St.

Delicious coffees. Almond, coconut and oat milk options! Two baristas were very pleasant and filled our orders quickly. Def recommend, especially if you're looking to get away from the usual coffee house options

The perfect lil Aussie treat!! The caramel slices and meat pies brought the family back to being over in Australia. 🇦🇺 Super excited to try the Drop Bear coffee!! Service was out of this world!! Can’t wait to make another visit…. Tomorrow!!

Love the coffee (when the barista isn’t too green), LOVE the baked goods. LOVE SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESS! But! A word to the wise — BRING A REUSABLE MUG IF YOU DONT WANT COFFEE STAINS ON YOUR CLOTHES, lol! There seems to be some issue with the cups / lids they use…
