Customer Reviews
Tried the crab cakes and seafood pasta with a salad and sweet potato bread pudding. My mother had the cabbage and cornbread. She really liked what she had. The crab cakes were a bit salty but seasoned really well. The seafood pasta also was salty but the taste of it was good. I wasn't fond of the pasta they used though (spaghetti). My salad was beautiful, it just didn't have any dressing on it. I had to go home and add my own. The bread pudding was waaaaaayyyyy too sweet. It tasted like it might have been made with donuts. I don't have to have it again. Overall it was a good experience.
Hats off to the chef. My girlfriend happened to know him personally. I was a little disappointed with the level of customer service in New Orleans until I came here. Definitely coming here first the next time I touch down. That sweet potato bread pudding is 🔥
The fish was seasoned PERFECTLY, the food was PREPARED FRESH and was still hot when I got home. The ONLY BAD thing was MY FAVORITE the potato salad was HORRIBLE. It WASN'T made correctly and taste spoiled other than that it was A WONDERFUL MEAL.I like to seperate my food. But here's a picture.
Very relaxed and non pretentious setting for some of the best food around. If you eat nothing else, get the white chocolate bread pudding... But don't do that. Get dinner, too. Attached are pics of my blackened salmon over seafood mashed potatoes. I believe garnished with sliced scallions and what sure tastes like a lemon beurre blanc. $15. I love that I can get food like this down the street from me and in comfy clothes. The other picture is the bread pudding. The sauce on that is off the chain. I would trust the chef here with any sauce he wanted to make.
Amazing! One of the best meals I’ve had in one of my all time favorite cities to eat! Blackened salmon with seafood mash was delicious! My husband had the red beans and rice with pork loin and cornbread. Also delicious! Service was warm and welcoming. Felt like home. The only downside was we didn’t save room for dessert. We’ll be back!
