The Iron Horse Grill

I recently went to Iron Horse for the first time for a friend’s birthday. Our waitress, Tudy, was awesome. She handled our group with ease and was on top of everything before anyone could even ask for anything. The Water Horse drink was tasty. I’d recommend the IH sampler platter for first timers, as it has fried broccoli, BBQ chicken quesadillas, wings and the delicious southwest eggrolls. The ribs I got as the main entree had a great taste, although they were a bit tough. The praline cheesecake was great !! Looking forward to visiting again.

An awesome stop, with a ton of character! The menu at The Iron Horse Grill has something for everybody. Never been somewhere you can get fried chicken, enchiladas, and praline cheesecake all at the same place. Plenty of seating, and evidently has live music on the weekends. Service was super kind and quick, and was not loud at all. Will visit again next time I am in Jackson!

We had such a wonderful experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing waitress, Tara! From the moment our group of five sat down, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel completely welcome. She was attentive without hovering, made sure our drinks were always full, and handled all of our requests with patience and professionalism. Tara was knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and kept everything running smoothly—even with a larger group like ours. Our food came out perfectly timed, and she checked in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find service that truly elevates a dining experience, but Tara absolutely did. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be asking for her again!

I recently attended a surprise birthday party for my uncle at The Iron Horse Grille, and it was an excellent experience all around. The food was delicious – everyone enjoyed their meals, and the flavors really stood out. The atmosphere was perfect, with a warm, welcoming vibe and nice music playing in the background that wasn’t too loud. We had a private room upstairs for the event, which gave us just the right amount of space and privacy. Our waitress did a fantastic job – she was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a great place to celebrate, and I’d highly recommend it for both special occasions and a great night out.

I was visiting with a cousin and she recommended this place as a go to for brunch. As soon as we got there, we were seated right away. Although our waiter, Darius, was new to the restaurant, he did his best with service and accommodating our needs. While we were there, there was live music and the musician, Todd, walked around and played side table! It was great! I love live music! Ok, now on to the food. There is a brunch special that they have for about $24 at the time of this review and you can have anything you want, however, you are only allowed to go up alone time. You get waffles, omlettes, and grits with all the sides and trimmings. I had fried fish, fried okra, and Mac and cheese. I have to work off the pounds it put on me, but it was good.
