The Ice Cream Stand

Driving home from Sperryville, I really wanted ice cream but did not want to drive into Warrenton..lo and behold my husband sees the light on in this ice cream truck at Williams Tree service. What an amazing treat it was. THE CREAMIEST ice cream I have EVER had...yes way better than those trendy things out there right now also!! Biscoff Cookie, vanilla and mango for me..husband had chocolate coffee caramel...ah...mazing!!! 071523. Went again ...just as good!!

My husband and I were on a getaway, and suddenly, I needed ice cream. Like…it was a moral imperative. He did a quick search, and we were three miles from The Ice Cream Stand, which is less of a stand and more of a food truck. The woman running the place was a delight—great banter at no extra charge. Me: What is the brownie batter like? Her: Imagine licking a pan that had real left over brownie batter in it, but reeeeally cold. (By the way, she was correct.) Then she told me that she had a flavor I never knew I needed…but I needed. Pink grapefruit. Nope. She said I HAD to try it. Nope. Other customers said I had to try it. I gave into peer pressure. It was AMAZING. Go out of your way to try this place. It’s not just ice cream—it’s an adventure.

Delicious homemade ice cream served by Kristin, who is so fun to chat with! All of the flavors we tried were delicious and highly recommend this spot after a hard hike in Old Rag!

The grapefruit is great. We have had several other flavors and they have all been really good. Please keep the grapefruit as a regular flavor.

My wife and I finally made it out to the stand yesterday and loved our cones! Great selection of flavors. Scoop size was big!! Will definitely be coming back regularly.
