The Huntsman's Grill

Came here while staying at the lodge. Kid friendly, cool environment. Love a place that uses antlers in its decorating. When I sat down the guy next to me had the special, Osso Bucco. It looked and smelled delicious. I ordered but but alas he got the last one. Would recommend this place as great alternative to the food options at the lodge.

Very nice restaurant outside of Great Wolf Lodge! We decided to eat here and was very surprised with the quality of food! It was a great meal. We got a flatbread that was crispy and delicious! We also got the alligator sausage and shrimp gumbo. It was good! I was nervous at first, but the alligator sausage tasted like...normal sausage. It had a great flavor. The strip steak was well seasoned and cooked. It came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Our son got the chicken tenders. He said they were cooked good and tasted yummy. We also got the chocolate fudge cake with raspberry sauce. It was decadent, but worth it!

I've been to off the road places, but this one takes the cake!! The food is beyond amazing. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. They did a perfect medium and it was melt in your mouth. The mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and the green beans still had the perfect crispness to them. The swordfish was excellent. The fingerling potatoes were soft and tender and yet still crispy with rosemary seasoning. And their chocolate mousse was to die for! We will be eating here again.

Stopped here for a quick burger but the server recommended the pan seared pollock. I'm glad I got it, it was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Pollock is pretty mild compared to other fish, and you'll know if it's overcooked because it'll start to disintegrate. This was done just right. The rice and the corn were a perfect combo with this fish, very light but filling meal. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will be back!

What a gem located next to the Great Wolf Lodge. Instead of overpaying for convenience when you stay at the Great Wolf Lodge, swing by this place which is a 30 second drive away. The food is excellent, especially if you like interesting types of meats but it also has your tired and ture staples. Our server Katherine was wonderful and patient with our four young children. Highly recommend for anyone in the area that would like a relaxed, delicious and family friendly experience.
