The Hive Eatery

We were recently in the area and decided to grab brunch. I have a dietary restriction that often makes it very hard to eat out, yet the workers here went above and beyond to help me find items that I could eat. They took it very seriously, and offered to make me a meal that was one delicious, but two not even on the menu. I am beyond grateful we stopped in and were treated so kindly. I would highly recommend this place if in the area! The juice is also to die for!!

First impression walking in is: This is a clean place. NEAT. CREATIVE. Literally whispering in your ear ...."this can be magical if you let it be magical." Everyone inside (there must be a lot of regulars) has an expression of contentment ... seems to be at peace ... this place is filled with smiles and happiness. And I'm in Arizona! A good restaurant/good hospitality is the collision of taste/food, service/hospitaity and ambience/perceived cleanliness. This little eatery was showing Southern California what the benchmark can be for quality food and beverage. "How's the egg salad?", I asked. "I just made it." "Is it sweet? Can I taste it?" Cute and local place. Great atmosphere. Staff was amazing and very helpful & patient. I have food allergies, gluten free, dairy free, soy free I did a build your own salad. CJ was very patient and helpful - wiped everything down for me, took very good care of my food it was beautiful, so fresh and tasty.

Went in for lunch on a Tuesday around noon and got the build your own salad. Wow, such a large portion for a great price! I was so impressed with the freshness of the ingredients. Their champagne vinaigrette is lovely. My only note is that the service was very slow. We were there for over an hour and just got two salads and a coffee. The workers were extremely kind and the food was yummy. I’d recommend this place, but you may want to call in your order or be prepared to wait a hot minute to receive your food.

Absolutely fantastic staff. the atmosphere and the food is amazing. Accommodating to food allergies. Great variety of things to eat and drink. Definitely recommend definitely going to come back.
