The Himalayan Lodge, Short Term Rental, walk downtown, Ann Arbor, MI

My husband & I stayed here for almost 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house has a picnic table out front and a wonderful front porch with swing and rocking chairs. There’s a washer/dryer in the basement, which we used. We were there to help out with child care for 2 grandkids (infant & toddler) who live nearby. The house was very kid friendly. Books, toys, magnets, stuffed animals, and much more. The house was quite clean and livable. We really appreciated that the house came well-equipped for our needs, including a generously stocked fridge, freezer, and pantry. If we ever need a place for an extended stay again in Ann Arbor, this would be our #1 pick. Really loved the artsy/Nepal vibe. :-)

Spent five nights here. Great location. Clean. Private. Quiet. Safe. The owner is a long term Ann Arbor resident and deeply integrated into the community. I appreciated that money spent here stays local. The home is full of personality and will be a memorable part of your visit. The kitchen is well equipped - including a full fridge, oven, microwave, etc. We were able to cook every meal. The bed was firmer than I'd prefer, comparable to a 2 star hotel. The other amenities more than make up for it, but if you need a high end mattress, this isn't the right location.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Himalayan Lodge. It was like being in Nepal or at the foot of Everest without actually having to go there tons of fun little things and every single room and everything you could possibly need for having a great time in Ann Arbor.

I stayed at Himalayan Lodge along with 4 of my coworkers while we were in Ann Arbor for a conference. This was the best short term lodging I've ever found in Ann Arbor, and I travel there regularly. The location is excellent. The price is very reasonable. The house is very comfortable, with plenty of privacy for beds and homey living spaces that were great for after-conference co-working or for relaxing. The owners were friendly and easy to communicate with. I'll definitely stay here again.

What a fabulous place to stay! The Himalayan Lodge is such a welcoming and cozy choice for accommodation. It’s a real Ann Arbor gem with lots of character, charm and all the comforts of home. With a central yet quiet location and a friendly and knowledgeable host, it’s ideal!
