The Hillside Tavern & Grill

We tried coming here a few months ago but they were super busy and had a long wait. We were in the area again tonight and got there around 5pm. We were seated right away and were out of there before 6pm. I’d say it gets busy around 5:30. Highly recommend the spicy boneless wings. Classic cheesy greasy pizza. Waitress was nice too.

I've been here a few times. Really good food. Pizza, fish, burgers, everything is delicious. The salad bar was fresh. The restaurant is always clean and the employees are always friendly. It is a popular place, so be prepared to wait, but it's always worth it.

Went with a small group of people for dinner. We were seated immediately and our waitress arrived shortly afterwards to take our drink orders. The menu has a variety of food that would please all eating types. Specifically I was there for the pizza. The pizza exceeded my expectations and is now my new favorite place for pizza in the Northwoods! Everyone raved over their food and it was an enjoyable experience overall with fantastic service and “classic up north” atmosphere!

Had a great experience at the Hillside tonight, bright clean and welcoming, the wait staff (Anderson) was attentive and helpful, the menu choices were varied and all the food was delicious! Well done Hillside! We’ll be back!!

Near Star Lake State Forest campground where we stayed to fish, hike, canoe, and camp. Wonderful bar and grill and supper club down the road in Saynor. The Vinch Burger was a beast in size and absolutely delicious. It was eadiky two meals. Friendly bartenders and lovely Up North atmosphere. The owner was a former Green Bay Packer cheerleader.
