I am extremely disappointed with this newspaper company. In a recent article, they revealed far too many personal details about a subject, to the point that it put her safety and privacy at risk. Responsible journalism should protect individuals, not endanger them. By including identifying details that were unnecessary to the story, the paper showed a serious lack of judgment and disregard for the well-being of the people they report on. Because of their reckless reporting, my friend has been subjected to serious harassment and put in a position where she no longer feels safe. I expected higher ethical standards from a publication that claims to inform the community. Instead, their careless reporting has caused harm and stress.
