You Need To Know? Arrived with 6:00 p.m. reservations & we were seated immediately. The service was prompt, friendly, & polite. Very welcoming for sure. On this occasion we had New England clam chowder, spicy popcorn shrimp 🍤 appetizers, the steak & cake, pretzel crusted Dijon chicken & short rib ravioli in a mushroom sauce. The steaks were cooked to our desired temp nicely. The chicken dish was fantastic & flavorful. The Dijon was creamy & tasty. Highly recommend. The ravioli was too "soupy" & would have preferred more chunks of the short rib beef mixed in. Beautiful environment on a snowy evening. Now You Know! -TBH
My husband and I decided to try out a new restaurant last night. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the booths were very spacious, which we appreciated! They served us fresh warm bread with seasoned butter upon being seated. I ordered a Filet Mignon with a baked potato (ordered extra sour cream and butter) and my husband ordered a Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes (we ordered our steaks to be cooked medium). We were served our salads pretty quickly, but it did seem to take a while to get our dinner. I was surprised seeing how it wasn’t busy while we were there, but I’d rather wait a bit longer than for them to rush us out. When we received our dinner, we were not expecting our steaks to be served with a brown gravy. From ordering Filets at many restaurants, it didn’t seem normal to be served
We made reservations and so when we arrived, got right in for a 6pm dinner on a Saturday. Our waitress was very nice, but was always in a rush. We were not told about any daily specials and had to ask for some nominal items. When dinner came, we had to again ask for bread which never came. Everything we paid for and order was brought out and it didn't take very long. Overall, it was a fine experience and they may have just been short-staffed on this evening. I would certainly try it again.
We have been going to High Bridge for almost 5 years now. In that time we have tried almost ALL of the dishes they offer. A lot of of the time we get something off the special menu because we like to try different meals. Recently, we had the Cajun Catfish with Shrimp. It was served on a bed of fried grits with a fantastic sauce. Honestly, it was one of the best meals I have had here. I was completely blown away at how perfectly everything was cooked and how well the entire dish went together. While it is a relaxed atmosphere, the service is above reproach. The place is clean and spacious. This has become our favorite restaurant within driving distance of up to an hour.
When we arrived there, we were seated. We placed our orders for our appetizers and that took half hour just to get two soups. After we waited that long half hour, is when we ordered our food. It took about an hour or so for us to get it. When I got my food, which I ordered the chicken tenders and it came out slightly overcooked and I also ordered the mashed potatoes and carrots and the mashed potatoes came out a bit cold. We asked the manager if you were able to get compensation of our meal because of the servers that we got, we never got offered any compensation. We we never got offered a free dessert or any refills on the drinks. Because of our experience there, we left a $1 tip for our waitress
