The Happy Tart

The Happy Tart is situated on the ground floor of Pearson Square apartments in Falls Church, VA. This community-focused bakery specializes in gluten-free, irresistible pastries, cakes, and cafe treats, offering a variety of gluten-free options for breakfast and brunch. Its colorful decor includes cushions, Christmas ornaments, toys, a large pink Christmas tree with lights, and funky decorations, creating a cozy, warm, and joyful atmosphere that matches its name. The staff was friendly and explained the breakfast choices before we ordered. We enjoyed their coffee, which was high quality and not watered down. The tiramisu was excellent—moist, sweet, and coffee-flavored—very satisfying, while the eclair was dry and less sweet. The breakfast crepes were tasty, healthy, and perfect gluten-free

Delicious gluten free food! The whole restaurant is gluten free. Dairy free items are mentioned. I had a quiche. We also had a couple of crepes.

This place is heaven!!! Everything is GF. I am not dairy free so I didn't try anything but they have some DF items. I got the chicken pot pie meal, which was lovely and so nice to have a crust that didn't disintegrate. I also got a cheesecake which was amazing! They were testing a new bread recipe and let me try a piece. It looked like real bread! Tasted like bread! And did not feel like a brick when holding it! The employees were very kind, patient and seemed happy to be there. I will be back when I'm in the area.

I was wonderfully impressed with the quality of work done to make a cake for my birthday! It was incredibly delicious and I would recommend anyone who is looking to purchase a cake (or any dessert) for a special occasion to definitely go to The Happy Tart! You won’t be disappointed!

Gluten free quiche was wonderful. Light crispy crust. Tasty bacon and ham. Thank you for a delicious GF experience
