The Hangout

I cant give a solid review on the hangout. We drove half an hour out of the way to eat here after a NASP tournament. The hours showed it was open however they were not. I assume it is more of a summer spot being right on the lake. The outside looked neat we will try again in the summer time.

A wonderfully kind and chill place. Since it’s within a little community it’s always very friendly. The dining room is bright and open, with a lovely view to boot! I’ve been here both in the winter and summer and loved it both times!

We just moved into Lake Santee, so we were really excited to find The Hangout so close by and right off the lake! I took my daughter there for lunch, and we both loved it. I got the chicken wrap, and she went with the hot dog—both were great! It’s awesome to have a local spot with good food just around the corner. The atmosphere is really laid-back and welcoming, and I can only imagine how much fun it will be to hang out there during the summer when we’re at the beach. We’re definitely looking forward to making it one of our regular stops once the weather warms up! If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend giving The Hangout a try—great food and a perfect lakeside spot!

What a fun and unique place. Right next to the beach at Lake Santee. Pulled pork sandwich is huge and so are the burgers. Good food and service. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Great pizza and sandwiches with a view of the Santee Lake and beach. Large selection of beer, wine, mixed drinks, and spirits. Pets are welcome for outside dining. Casual dining with comfortable atmosphere.
