Customer Reviews
I had the exceptional opportunity to stay at this home. Every room is clean, and has a nostalgic feel, with furniture that complements the time period and experience. I had a walk-through of each room. You could appreciate the special care and effort the owners have put into the home to preserve the Haight family heritage. The care and beauty of the outside of the home and the property are as pleasing as the inside. Well done!
This adorable old home has been lovingly restored and tastefully decorated so that you actually can feel the 19th century era around you. The high ceilings with transom windows above, let light and air move throughout the house and add such a charming touch! It was like staying in a museum with antique furnishings and heritage touches. The B&B manager who attended us was kind and accommodating though he was filling in while his wife was away and it really wasn't his forte. ||The Haight Home B&B hasn't been in business long and the owners don't run it though I believe they furnished it. It was terribly over priced for its remote location with few services and no private bathroom. I personally don't like sharing a bathroom with strangers so that was not to my liking and if you must share
Wonderful beautiful home. Enjoyed how quiet the town is. If you have guests in the detached garage with the window open, expect them to be awoken by roosters, dogs, and goats across the way. The house had all the amenities renting a house could have minus a few things. Would of given it 5 stars, but because we opted out of the breakfast part, we made our own meals and simple things like dish towels were not readily found. Overall an enjoyable stay and would recommend.
Two bedrooms and a loft; kitchen is available for use if you reserve the entire house, otherwise they provide breakfast. Plenty of yard space for games and reunions. Smoker and grill on the porch. The house is big, so there's a lot to explore, but there are also lots of antiques and breakable objects in some of the rooms, so kids can't quite have free reign. Two bathrooms, but only one bath and one shower. Both the bath and the shower are spacious. Two balconies, too. Great house for a family gathering.
What an incredible treasure! Came to Oakley for a family reunion at a camp facility nearby. Not being in the mood to camp, the Haight Home B&B was the first option to pop up on our Google search, so we called. We were pleasantly surprised by the affordability and booked immediately. We still had quite a long drive ahead of us creating a late arrival, but the Manager, Amie, was more than accommodating. She made a special effort to ask about our food and allergy preferences. We eat pretty healthy. Veggies and Gluten Free for breakfast? No problem! Our only regret was not capturing photos of the delightful meals and their visual presentations each day. We were so relaxed we never thought to even reach for our phones during our stay. The bed was INCREDIBLY comfortable. More than memory foam, h
