The Gulf

This place is my jam. On the water, great cocktails, great seafood. If we go to a place two nights in a row, you know we like it. Service was excellent both nights. Bobbie Jean and Yil took great care of us tonight and Panda the night before. If you're really hungry get something that comes with fries. We had the snapper BLT and the lobster and shrimp roll and that's a lot of food. The prior night was the poke bowl and mahi -mahi tacos...a little lighter.

Really great lobster and shrimp roll. Even the fries are actually good - sometimes places skimp on the quality of their fries. Even on a chilly day having lunch by myself, I grabbed a hot toddy and enjoyed this view and had a great time. Tammy was really awesome. She always showed up at just the right time and was super kind. The folks behind the register and the bar were also incredibly kind and professional. Will definitely be back!

I was curious about this place solely based on the reviews & photos describing The Gulf’s construction was made up of former shipping containers!! Coming from Hawaii 🌺, we receive our goods in shipping containers so of course, I was curious and had to visit. The food was unbelievably tasty & full of flavor especially the daily special (Shrimp & Grits, lots of shrimp with the right amount of spice sized in an amazing sauce), the Fried Grouper Sandwich (delicious and not greasy), & the fresh guacamole dip (chunks of avocado). The big surprise for me was the Golden Cauliflower Bites…for $10, it was amazingly delicious mixed with a sweet chili sauce & I couldn’t stop eating it!! Clean, excellent service, and very good food. You order from a bar or walk up, and they deliver. The views of the channel and waterway is clear. It's informal but has a good vibe.

We had shrimp tacos and a shrimp bowl. Both were excellent. Our food runner, Colin, was great. He checked on us several times, made sure we had what we needed and even took pictures for us.
