The Grubbery

We live close to this place. I was looking for something new. I searched "restaurants near me" and this place popped up on the list of results. The Friday of Labor Day weekend.... Hmmm... I figured it would either be mobbed or deserted. Turns out, arriving at just after 5 pm was the sweet spot. A few tables were taken... mostly senior citizens....but most tables were available. We chose a table not under the pavilion roof, but the sun wasn't in our faces. The weather has been cooler than average this year for the end of August. I was glad I had put on a ls tee over a ss tee. He wore a ss polo over a ss tee. He was just on the comfortable edge of cool. By the time we I'm left, the place had filled up quite a bit. It's in the golf course and the sign says the "Fox Den." Didn't see a Grubbery sign. Seating seems to be only outdoors but is very pleasant on a nice evening. Menu is nice and all the food was really good. Service was also really friendly. Only negative was that the food took a really long time to come out. At least 30 mins... And the appetizer came out with the main dishes! The server said their kitchen is really small and gets overwhelmed even though only half the tables were full. So minus one star but overall a good place when the weather is nice.

Food for the most part was good. The nachos were AMAZING!! We ordered a burger and could not finish it. The taste was off. To best describe it the burger tasted like old meat straight up cow taste if that makes sense. When we walked in it felt like they didn’t want to attend us and they went back and forth on where to even sit us. The girl the served us was great tho. Otherwise everything else was good.

Very cool outdoor setting with great GRUB, that is located at Foxchase Golf Course. This place has very good food but is only seasonal, so you better get there while you can+

Lovely outdoor seating. Very pleasant, relaxed vibe. The waitresses were very friendly & checked up on us frequently. 👍🏻 Everyone at the table agreed the food was delicious! 😋 I will definitely be going back to this restaurant!
