This B&B is absolutely charming! The decor is the highlight—minimalist, cozy, and enchanting. I loved the uniquely named rooms and the outstanding breakfast (the pancakes and fresh fruit were delicious!). The hostesses are also very sweet and attentive. The only thing to note is that the building is older, so the wooden floors and pipes can be a bit noisy when other guests are moving around. Despite that, it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely return!
This was a convenient place to stay while attending a four day retreat at the nearby Barbara Harris Retreat Center. Jarvis answered all questions and did his best to make my stay extremely pleasant. I appreciated the firm mattress, hot shower and modern bathroom in the Romeo & Juliet room. Breakfast included fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins and prepared food on the weekend. The antique furnishings and charming ambiance made up for the creaky stairs and slanted floors.
The Inn is absolutely gorgeous! Welcoming public spaces, cozy rooms, and a stellar dvd library! Though there isn't much to do in Greenfield, this was an amazing place to stay.
We had such a wonderful experience. The communication from Jarvis, the owner, was excellent leading up to and during our stay. The inn is stunning. It is set in a small town winter wonderland - comfy rooms, beautiful porch, delicious breakfast. Jarvis and the innkeeper, Carla, could not have been kinder. The inn is less than 15 minutes to Crotched Mountain, where my daughter skied for the first time. We would love to come back in the spring or summer to hike or bike. I highly recommend the Greenfield Inn.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay in May so much we're planning to return in October. The owner, Jarvis, was a great host and the property had many areas to relax and enjoy the mountain views and the historical photos and memorabilia all around. Built around 1817, they have done a great job bringing it up to date without losing its charm, meaning, it's immaculate and everything works fine! The walls are adorned with local art for sale and each room has its own name and character. We stayed in the Juliet and Romeo; the ladies are listed first on each door; a wise move.||While there's not a lot to do in Greenfield, New Hampshire, it's all within a few doors of the Inn. Mi Corazon is an excellent Mexican restaurant two doors down; great food, margaritas, and Saturday night karaoke was a blast. H
