The Greek Shack at Beech Mountain Lakes

If you love The Greek Shack in Mountain Top, you'll love their Beech Mountain location. A larger space, lake views, and full service bar are all great, but the expanded menu is my favorite thing. Lots of fun new flavors, like the wings, bar snacks, and burgers were incredible. I can't wait to return when it's warm to take advantage of the outdoor patio!

We went to the Greek Shack for an early dinner on Sunday. They had a fabulous Greek band playing and the house was full. Excellent menu! We had mostly vegan dishes but there were options at the menu for everyone. Very good service. The atmosphere was lovely. The owners were there greeting everyone with a warm smile and giving an amazing Greek vibe of hospitality. Great addition to this area.

My takeaway after my first visit to the Beech Mountain Greek Shack location (I wish Google Maps didn't still list the old restaurant in the same spot) was that I would probably swing by once or twice a week if I wanted to watch football at the bar and grab a gyro or some fries. From what I understand, there's still some State government business going on with determining whether or not the restaurant can serve alcohol, so at the present moment, you order at the counter and the staff will bring your food to you and if you want booze you order separately at the bar. It felt like a fast-casual kind of arrangement on the whole and might actually be a little convenient if you want to open up a tab at the bar and stay a while or grab some snacks as the night goes on. Been here a couple of times with family, food was great! Staff were hospitable and friendly! Gyro is soooo good.

Best food, place, and people. I recommend the gyros and I can’t wait to be back there soon!
