The Great Greek

Some of the best Greek food I've ever had. I was gifted the luxury of enjoying the culinary scene of Greek town growing up outside of Detroit. The Great Greek very much harkens back to the quality and sense of family/tradition that is cooked in their food. Every dish is phenomenal. The ambience, the service, the smiles, the dancing. Everything here is wonderful so bring all your friends and share a meal you won't forget.

The most dancing at dinner I've ever seen in my 20 years in LA! Festive and warm like you're dining with the Greek locals. Delicious generously portioned food. This time we had moussaka and salmon (better than the tsipoura) and cold platter of dips.

On my first visit tonight, I loved the vibe, with loud, live authentic Greek music. The cocktails, salads and main dishes were delicious - I had a baked salmon with rice and vegetables, and my friends had llamb, beef and chicken souvlaki, also with fresh vegetables. The food was fresh, plentiful, and tasty - enough to share. The bill for 3 was $136 including tax - reasonable, well worth it and appropriate for the portion sizes. I'll definitely be back!

1/30/2026 - Had lunch at The Great Greek in Sherman Oaks (Los Angeles) The Blue Mediterranean with Shrimp is my favorite, a must-order dish. Every piece of vegetable is fresh - The Shrimps are unique - you may not find this dish easily. The ambience is classic and upscale!

The atmosphere is electric. The seats comfy, the drink selections are good. The food options are a bit lackluster for the prices. I got shredded beef flautas that were very mediocre for $24 but the overall experience is great.
