The Good King Tavern

One of my favorite spots in Philly! Laid back and unpretentious atmosphere, outstanding wine list, incredibly tasty and concise menu. The old Fashioned with the salted maple foam was a fun addition to the menu! This time I had the escargot, sausage, and a coagulation tarte of sorts. Everything was outstanding, and the sausage was exactly as the bartender described ("stupid good!"). Will always stop here when I'm in town!

Duck is delicious. I was enjoying the music playlist. Had a reservation and highly recommend one. I had the chicken special, didn’t love it but that’s just about me rather than the food quality. It can get loud in here. Clean but dark bathrooms. Easy to get to via the BSL

We will have to come back again - cocktails were nicely done and desserts were good.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Loved the ambience. Menu was French centric. I had the skste wing and my wife had their daily duck preparation. We also had a few happy hour appetizers, dessert, and two inventive cocktails. All extremely well prepared.

The food was flavorful, and beautifully presented especially the croquettes with a warm and elegant atmosphere Thanks to Jules our fantastic server who gave excellent recommendations. Truly a five-star experience!
