The Goat Saloon

Stopped at The Goat Saloon after a photo shoot just across the border in Wisconsin. Me and my key grip rolled in, grabbed two seats at the bar, and got service right away. Small kitchen — basically a grill and a couple fryers — but don’t let that fool you. They put out some seriously good food. Scott (my key grip) ordered the Goatzilla burger with peanut butter and thought it was fantastic. I went for the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with onion rings. The chicken was hot, sweet, and had that honey kick — really solid. But the onion rings? Absolute perfection. I don’t think I’m going to chase the “perfect onion ring” again, because I found it here at The Goat. Big shoutout to the owner, who actually stopped by our seats to check on our food and our service. That kind of thing gets lost

I loved the small town atmosphere and the service between the server and the cook was great! The food was amazing from the appetizer, loaded tots to my Drunken Goat burger! We loved it and will be back!

Food was really good, service was less than par! Waited for her to notice us and tried to get her attention at the bar for service! She messed up on a simple drink order, never came to check on us till we were already done eating! Watched her carry a case of beer out to a customer to refill his beer bucket ! There was bingo going on, but the place was not that busy! Seemed like she had zero service experience and was more focused on pulltabs and her guests at the bar, which made our visit less than enjoyable! It was a neat place with good food.

Real nice place to eat! Nothing fancy bar restaurant, but we had a young girl probably 19-20 years old. She had a very nice personality and very accommodating to us and other people in the restaurant and never Complained of how busy she was! We would come here again and food was awesome!

Owner and server were awesome. I had gift cards that were very old and from a previous owner. They still honored it and were very generous. I highly recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich.
