The Galley: A St. Pete Tavern

Grabbed a bite here the other night and lovedddd this place! The food is insane. Birria grilled cheese was incredible. Cuban was “the best he’s ever had in his life” according to my brother who eats a lot of cubans. Hand breaded and battered chicken tenders were 11/10. But my favorite thing was the vibe - this bar made me feel like I was at MacLaren’s from How I Met Your Mother. Niche reference but basically I just mean I would love to live near this bar so I could frequent it with friends and have a booth that we regular. Wait staff was super cool too, one of them recommend a cool music event nearby to us. Try Galley!!

Cannot say enough good things about this place.. anyone who says otherwise is probably having a crappy night and never actually worked in the service industry. Tim is the absolute best!! The entire staff is fun and on point! Best old fashions and very good food open late! I deal poker and sometimes get off too late to get food.. they even whipped up some sweet potato fries for me ten minutes after they technically stopped serving food tonight! Thanks guys!🙏 Love this place! Highly recommended!! 💜🤘💜

Bar food amplified! Its nice to get off work and come by and get some good food after hours, PLUS 40% off whole check for hospitality on Sunday nights!!! Yes, please! They have it all from salads to steaks to boiled peanuts, yes, boiled peanuts! Started with the zuchinni fries, not impressed, sad to say. The 4 oz filet was perfectly cooked to medium rare and served with a chimichuri sauce, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. Very happy with this choice! I'll definitely be returning! Its so nice to have a spot open for hospitality workers late night that serves good food!

Food was good and we hit it for Octoberfest so we tried their specials and they didn’t disappoint. The service was a little slow but an overall good experience.

Came here for a friend’s birthday about a month ago and was met with incredibly rude service from the jump. Our server did not show any type of hospitality and even rushed us to order our food. Had us pay/tip her right after ordering our food. All of our party tipped her 20% and still was extremely rude to us. The place wasn’t even busy. When one of our friends was still deciding on her food, the server left in the middle of her ordering. And on top of that, when we finished eating a man who also worked there came up to us and asked us if we wanted the bill, which we already paid for before our food even came out. We probably spent less than an hour there total and was still rushed out. Not sure why we were treated with this disrespect when the whole time we were being as respectful as pos
