⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fresh Egg – Where Diets Go to Die (Happily) Our group of 4½ (yes, somebody only ate half their plate because self-control showed up late 😂) walked into Fresh Egg thinking we were just grabbing breakfast… and walked out needing a nap and a moment of silence. Let’s talk FOOD. That omelet? Fluffy like it trained at egg boot camp. Stuffed with sausage, ham, bacon, cheese basically the Avengers of breakfast. The home fries were crispy golden cubes of perfection. Not soggy. Not greasy. Just straight-up breakfast excellence. The ham slices were thick and flavorful like they meant business. That biscuit sandwich? Soft, buttery, and holding everything together like a breakfast superhero. And those cheesy grits? Creamy enough to make you emotional. We love this place for after church service brunch! My favorite is the large portion slice of quiche with delicious thick slices of whole wheat toast and a very fresh fruit cup. They often have a couple different quiche selections. Service is speedy with genuine friendliness. Prices are good. Ambience is cozy, clean and inviting. My only complaint--I wish they had a bigger lunch menu because this place rocks and I'd love to enjoy more here during the week.

My wife and I decided to try The Fresh Egg on a Saturday morning. The place was very crowded so when we walked in we weren't sure who to speak with and if the seating was first come, first serve or what was going on. A server finally told us it was a 5 minute wait and we just had to stand in the middle of the restaurant waiting which was somewhat awkward. We were seated and the service was good. We ordered the Fresh Egg Platter and the Baja Omelette. The food was good but not great, if that makes sense. Good prices also. One complaint was how tight everyone is squeezed in. When we went to leave, we had to physically move our table back because of the two tables next to us being right on top of us. Either way, the food was good and the atmosphere was ok.

Food was decent. Staff were polite but not engaging. It wasn't clear if I was supposed to seat myself or where I pay, we had to awkwardly hover around a register until someone noticed us. I really hate it when restaurants don't make those simple things clear. It was also frigid in the restaurant to the point where the windows were opaque with condensation. I mentioned it to the server, and she said, "I just wear a sweatshirt." Great, thanks, I didn't bring a sweatshirt today, so I sat uncomfortably cold through my meal. Also, our second server brought eggs Benedict without the Canadian bacon. When my dining companion questioned it, he was told they don't serve bacon with their Benedicts but brought a free side plate of bacon strips. Yum! The wedge salad was delicious paired with a side of sweet potato fries. They have lots of fresh options to choose from and some outdoor seating as well. I've been many times and always have a great experience.
