The Frenchman's Widow

Great place to have in Herrin. My husband had a burger with fries and I had a fish sandwich with cheese curds. We both really enjoyed our meals. Great flavor and perfectly cooked. It was all fresh and hot.

We made a reservation, and although it was unwarranted, the restaurant felt calm and cozy. The food was AMAZING. Zombie Burger for the Win!!! 😋 Yummy!! DO NOT SKIP ON THIS LITTLE GEM!!!

The Zombie burger was for fat kids, this burger was large and very fulfilling…the fish sandwich wasn’t expected, also a big portion with alot of crispy and perfectly cooked fish… we will be back to try some of the other interesting items they have to offer …wishing I would have tried this place sooner

So glad we discovered this place! The food was excellent, and Bailey was a very attentive and friendly server. It’s a quaint little place with a cool French Quarter decor vibe. I got the patty melt and onion rings, my daughter got the mushroom swiss burger and French onion soup, and my son got the cheese curd burger and fries. All delicious!

We had a party with 14 guests. Our server Bailey went above and beyond to make our night wonderful. It was a perfect night and I would give her 10 out 5 stars if possible. The food was absolutely amazing. I tried the bruschetta for the 1st time as an appetizer and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. The menu had a great variety that accommodated all our guests. Thanks Frenchman’s Widow for helping us have a such a great time.
