The Fountain Ice Cream & Deli

Lovely old fashioned ice cream shop, even with the counter and twirly bar stools! I love the decor. The ice cream was indeed delicious, and the chocolate lives up to the "world's best". Next time I would try the sandwiches which sound and look really yummy! Friendly staff, very welcoming people in this town. I would like to come back!

Great ice cream, great service, really nice historic ambiance. Went back a second time to eat lunch. Had the spicy beef chipotle burrito. It was excellent for a Mexican food item in Maine. We're from Oklahoma, so we know what's good (or not good) Mexican food.

I stopped in after admiring the retro interior and found happily they had gluten free bread! My sandwich of chicken salad w pickles and chips and a cherry soda of the probiotic variety enjoyed @ the cuteist booth was thoroughly enjoyed. The owners were very hospitable and friendly!

My new favorite lunch spot- it's adorably retro, and the food is great. They've got a great selection of sandwiches and salads, cold drinks, and of course, ice cream. There is inside seating, or you can get it to go and enjoy your lunch at the Waterfront Park a block away.

Shared a large ice cream sandwich ($5), cookie was more crumbly than chewy but perfect because it didn’t push the ice cream out. Maine moose tracks flavor. Scoops seemed very large.
