The Edward Ball Dining Room at Wakulla Springs

The onsite restaurant at the Lodge felt like a little reward waiting at the end of the boat tour. We arrived at just the right moment and were seated immediately, as if the table had been quietly saved for us. As a local, it’s always a delight to stumble upon a place that feels both welcoming and a bit magical, the kind you’d happily return to again and again. The dining room itself was charming, clean, and spacious, with sunlight drifting in through the windows and giving everything a gentle glow. It felt unhurried and comfortable, the sort of place where conversations linger and lunch turns into a pleasant pause in the day. A beautiful old style dining room at Wakulla Lodge. The dining staff both nights were very friendly. Great service by both. The food was fresh and delicious. Easy to talk as the old fashioned music plays in the background.

The Lodge is an often overlooked dining experience in Wakulla, right at Wakulla Springs. We almost always get steaks (I get the ribeye and my wife prefers the filet) with loaded baked potato and often a caeser salad. You can add 6 fried shrimp to your steak.....just saying. The pecan pie is great! There is a nice cocktail/beer/wine list as well. The dining room has a chill vibe and the adjacent main hall/fireplace/seating area has an old southern charm. After dinner, if you skip dessert, go next door to the parlor and get a ince cream, sundae, or fizz. You can walk down and swim or just check out the water. Also, if you turn in your park entrance receipt, they take it off the bill.

We wanted a low key anniversary dinner and made a reservation. The front gate was open since it was past park hours. Our dinner was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the all you could ear shrimp Friday and the smoked fish dip. Thank you for a lovely evening. The ambience is very old fashion and the service traditional. This is a nice change. We will be back!

With its beautiful atmosphere and classic southern food, this place is a time capsule of a bygone era. It's a wonderful getaway whether you're making a day trip or staying in the lodge. Everything we ordered was made to perfection from the fried green tomatoes to my boyfriend's Old Fashioned, and our seat by the window overlooking the springs was the perfect backdrop for the afternoon. They have specials throughout the week like Fried Shrimp Friday and Burger Tuesday, and they also have special dining events for holidays. Wonderful place to celebrate a special event, go on a date, or just get away and relax. Our server was lovely and made sure everything was perfect.
