The Durham Cafe by Clean Slate

We always have lunch here when we visit the Joslyn. The menu, atmosphere, vibe, food, value, and service are excellent. You order at the counter, and they will bring the food out to you. They take credit cards. And I cant emphasize enough how wonderful the employees are. And of course, the food.

What a cool museum cafe. Their menu has something for everyone, and I wanted to try five different things at once, but alas, went with the panang curry and tofu. It was SO delicious, especially with the crispy rice patty, and there was nothing left on my plate by the time I was done. Great service, and a super cozy space, too. 🍛

The Durham Cafe is such a beautiful and pleasant space, with delicious food and gorgeous views. The matcha is ceremonial grade, warm, strait forward and refreshing. They offer a variety of baked treats (the chocolate chip cookie is really good) but the main dishes are chef level good. Whether you opt for the veggie laced Frittata or the breakfast dish with chorizo, eggs and potatoes, this place is a WIN. There's plenty of room for larger groups, but it's ideal for couples or musing introverts as well. Durham Cafe is an absolute 12 out of 10

The Joslyn made an incredible decision to bring Clean Slate Food Co in to do the cafe! Their food is incredible, and wildly inexpensive. Fast food prices for Beard Award quality food. I’ve just been going into the museum and straight to the cafe, the food is better than the art!

I was starving so went to get food from the cafe. OMG, the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever eaten 😍 Crisping up the pulled pork was a genius move and the coleslaw and freshly pickled cucumbers added the perfect acidity to the meat. Definitely my fav part of the museum!
