The Dizzy Hen

Truly my favorite restaraunt around. The food is always incredible, the pastries and breads are perfect, the vibe is cozy and the staff are so sweet and friendly. My fiancé and I had our first date ever here when we lived in Corvallis. Three and half years later we come back all the time even though it’s an hour drive. It’s the restaurant that started our love! The portions are huge and well worth the price. Delicious sausage gravy, I just got the biscuits and gravy and they were so good. We always get a morning bun to go. There is often a long wait for breakfast but the bar seating is often available. Dinner is small plates and also incredible. It’s a little quieter and I think the kitchen gets to be more creative. Lots of fun things to try!

There are so many breakfast reviews for The Dizzy Hen but we had heard rave reviews about the dinner menu from family members so we decided to try it for dinner first. I love restaurants that serve multiple smaller dishes rather than one bigger dish and that is what this place does for dinner. We ordered four dishes plus dessert between the two of us and it was the perfect amount to be pleasantly full. This is one of those places where the menu lists ingredients that seem unusual to pair (carrot salsa? Truly an incredible place, the food, service, and atmosphere are all great. The morning bun pastry was so delicious. We also loved the vegan curried lentil hash. Our party ordered two breakfast sandos, and we all agreed it needed something. Maybe a good sauce, or a leafy green like arugula. We’ll definitely be back!

When I went, there was a small wait, but it was absolutely worth it. Parking was easy to find by the restaurant and there is a small waiting area where you get to see all the delicious pastries. The staff are so kind and attentive. I had gotten the 2 egg breakfast with an English muffin and let me tell you… it was out of this world scrumptious!!! The English muffin was my favorite part but honestly it’s all good!

Wow! Really great atmosphere - the food was amazing and the service was the best. We had about a 20 minute wait on a Sunday morning, not surprising... but worth the extra time
