Though the sides need Salt & Pepper that wasn’t enough for me to deduct a star. Everything is seasoned and the spice level is lovely. The Curry Goat, it’s unbelievable. The potatoes alone are Heavenly. In every bite you can taste the Chefs experience. I’m talking about years of perfecting a flavor. A taste you’ll remember and wish you could figure out. The Oxtail & Brown Stew are also delicious. This is the food that will have you humming & dancing in your seat as you eat it. Also try the Pineapple Ginger Beer you won’t be disappointed.
So I’ve been here before I think last year and the food was pretty decent . I was in the mood for some Jamaican food so I decided to order the Stew Chicken and boy was I disappointed. For one the stew chicken has no stew and was hella dry mind you no salt my sides were Mac and cheese and cabbage . For one the Mac looked super old like it had been sitting there all day , the cabbage was not cooked all the way and tasted like it had no seasoning. I called to maybe see if I could get fresh side but the lady on the phone just offered me a refund and said they steam the which is why it was not cooked all the way throughly. I’m am so disappointed and tbh I was so upset I didn’t even go get my money back. If you get your food please check it before you leave the store
Best Caribbean food you can get anywhere in the area. If you love beef patties, jerk chicken, and soul food this is the place for you. Plus they have my favorite caribbean soda, ting. It’s counter service and a hole in the wall but you won’t be disappointed.
Picked up lunch her for the first time and I’m very satisfied. I got the 2 Meats w/2 sides $25 Jerk, Curry, mac & cheese, and Plantains. The meat portion was great, Mac & cheese was not my favorite and the plantain portions could be bigger. Will return again and try different sides.
Best and only goat in the area. Oxtails are fire. Banana pudding best I've ever had. This place a hidden gem. So glad you are here. Rasta pasta recommended as well.
