The Den On Payette

This is the place for breakfast in downtown McCall. Coffee is great, no chance of reading the menu thru it! We'll bodied and tasty. Service is excellent. Karissa was on her best game! We ordered the brisket omelet and sweet potato bowl. Generous portions, excellent quality. One word summary; awesome. Great view of Payette Lake.

10/10. This place rocks. I was super impressed that they had their kids working. I love to see that. Very professional, very tasty and a fantastic view. The biscuit and gravy was super tasty with just a little bit of spice. The pancakes were light and fluffy and extra tasty with the butter and maple syrup. We also ordered up some huckleberry coffees, which were excellent. We would definitely come back here and recommended to our friends.

The Den is outstanding! It is a must restaurant to go to when you coming to McCall. The owners are so sweet and really engage with the customers. I had the French toast and all I can say is WOW! Best Ive ever had. We own an Airbnb and I will refer all my guests here.

We have tried nearly every place in McCall over the years and The Den on Payette is probably our favorite! Met the owners and they were the sweetest people! Working just as hard as their employees. The food was delicious, and the portions were big! I see some reviews commenting on the prices being steep. But compared to the amount of food you get, the prices are just right! My husband and I each had the biscuits and gravy and they were great. Our youngest had the Cinnamon Roll Combo from the kids menu and it was also a big portion for the price! Oldest daughter had the kids Omelet with sides and it could easily feed an adult. Overall, great place and I HIGHLY recommend!

The brisket skillet was all fat and gristle. I told the server and she wouldn’t take it off the bill. I didn’t eat it, and had a pile of disgusting fat and gristle sitting next to my plate. $21 dollars for that. The food isn’t her fault, but she should have had that taken off our $92 dollar breakfast.
