This location is a bit off the beaten path, but it is definitely a gem. I was referred to come for a quick bite in the area. Parking is a bit difficult, but you should be able to make due since their service is very quick. The people who come here seem to be routine workers in the area. You hear conversations continuing from the other day or greetings on a first name basis. I wanted to get something a little lighter, so I ordered a Caesar chicken wrap. When I got it, I was shocked at how big it was. It was delicious and I ended up finishing it. It came with a ton of greens and slices of chicken that makes you wonder how they stuff it all in there. The chef is a pro at making these wraps. There were plenty of other burgers and sandwiches that I’m sure are much more popular than the Cesar
The Deli Lama is a true hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious, the portions are generous, and everything comes out fast. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Don’t let the outside fool you — this place is worth the visit!
Great breakfast burrito! We will be back.
Breakfast burrito here competes strongly against the one in Al Carajo in the mission. It is an absolute gem of a place - the staff is really chill, the food is delicious, and they do accept credit card so don’t need cash. Deli Lama has taught me that a good breakfast burrito needs good sauce and flavor inside. Tater tots give an amazing texture and crunch. The flavoring exploded in my mouth with every bite and you don’t need extra hot sauce! I got the Chorizo. I got this burrito at 6am in the morning on the way to SFO and as I was in the air, I kept dreaming about the delicious burrito. I’ll def come back
Great secret little breakfast and lunch place. Fast service for take out or casual indoor seating. The TBA sandwich is awesome. First opened 11 years ago. Jimmy, the friendly new owner, took over November 2020. It’s located in SF’s warehouse neighborhood with the new SF police forensics lab about to open right across the street. In other words, the neighborhood looks a little sketchy, but is safe. Super convenient to the Cesar Chavez exit off 280 or 101. You can find free street parking within a block or two. Currently cash only, but Jimmy says he’ll be taking credit cards before the end of 2021.
