The Country Cabin

I absolutely love the Country Cabin! The cabins are rustic, clean and the view looking over the lake is so serene and relaxing. The perfect getaway! Dinner at the cabin is amazing! Service is impeccable. Friendly and attentive staff. Menu ranges from appetizers and sandwiches to prime rib so tender you can almost cut it with a fork. I highly recommend the experience at The Country Cabin.

We stayed here after picking up a large trailer due to ease of parking, dinner on site, and it was unique! The view out the cabins was very relaxing (situated on a small “lake”). Nothing is fancy, but our cabin had everything we needed. The shower was nice and the water was hot- although a tall person would be cramped. The bathroom vanity area is small. Bed was comfortable, the cabin had wifi and complimentary Roku. Fridge had apple juice cans and packages pastries. Coffee was supplied (although it took its time to brew) and paper towels, soap, dishes were supplied and of good quality. Dinner at the adjacent dinner only restaurant was great.

Absolutely outstanding experience at the Country Cabin! The prime rib was perfection - tender, juicy and cooked exactly the way I wanted. I could taste the quality in every bite. The twice baked casserole was the perfect match. A great cozy, homey feel with amazingly friendly staff. Unbelievable to find a place that hits the nail on the head- if you’re anywhere near Hiawatha, make sure you stop by this place for the best dining experience!

Came here for dinner and, WOW! Great service and seriously the best brisket I have ever had. Been all over the country and this place is so far the brisket leader! Amazing value for amazing food, service, and atmosphere. And get the peppercorn dressing as a side for the fries.....ranch or ketchup will NEVER be good enough after you try this!!!
