This was our first time in this place. We drove in from out of town because it was otw to where we were going. At first it seemed like a great place. I asked them if they were in fact like Mayflower seafood restaurant because of the image it shows when you look them up, she stated "it's better". I absolutely disagree with you ma'am. The portion sizes compared to Mayflower is MUCH different! You definitely get your money's worth at Mayflower seafood restaurant, this place not so much. We got about half of what we would normally get in our the trip to the Mayflower restaurant. That was the first thing we noticed immediately. Now the Alfredo dishes 2 of my daughters got were decent size and they shared no complaints of their meal. My son said the wings(half hot/half buffalo half bone in/half
Ordered a salmon salad thought it would look like the picture I was wrong. They bought me a nice size piece over the top of shredded lettuce I asked them what happened to the rest of the salad they told me I had to go to the salad bar and make it. My coworkers meal had more sauce on it than anticipated when she asked them to correct it they bought it back even worse. She only ate her side salad.
The food was good, the slaw that came with was not. The waitress was really nice but seemed like she had to much to do, so we had to wait a good bit for everything.
Tried to order online, website issues, tried calling multiple times no answer no vm. Husband went in and placed order. Went and waited. Came back picked up order. No salad even though it was charged. Baked potatoe, no butter or sour cream. Fried fish most definitely from freezer burn to plate. Roxboro needs a consistent, decent restaurant.
I stopped in here with a large group to eat lunch on Sunday and we were all very pleased. The place was nice and clean looking and we did not have to wait more than a couple minutes to get a table. The staff that worked there were super friendly and they kept our drinks full and served our meals promptly. It is kind of off the beaten path so you might not be able to notice it from the road. You can expect to receive the same type of meal and service that you would get at a traditional Seafood style restaurant like this. The food portions are going to be very healthy and they will quickly refill your drinks and bring you more hush puppies. But if you're looking for some seafood and you are in the area I would recommend this place. I enjoyed it.
