First time trying The Coop. Large seating area with fast and friendly service. Was looking forward to trying this diner since it is always busy. We tried the chicken Florentine dinner and the turkey and ham with stuffing dinner. Both meals come with your choice of soup and salad. Went with the beef barley and a salad. The chicken Florentine was good and came with your choice of a side. The turkey and ham with stuffing.was not good. The gravy was way too salty and not good at all and covered all the turkey and the stuffing was mushy with no flavor and terrible I would have preferred boxed store bought stovetop stuffing , which would have been a lot better. The food quality has hit an all-time low. It was so bad this time that I actually doubt we will be back---and we were loyal customers for 5 straight years. First of all, DO NOT order the "cream of ______" soup here! Their "cream of" soups are not made with cream. They are a gloppy, gluey mess passed off as "cream" and they are so thick and disgusting that it's like eating wallpaper paste. That's how much flour/corn starch they are dumping in the pot. Horrible and sickening. Next I had the spanakopita this evening. It was burnt--dark brown and bitter tasting. My son ordered the shrimp basket and he didn't like it, describing the quality as "mid," which seemed generous. The food has been going downhill for a while, but tonight's dinner was a Greek tragedy. What a great place! Went on New Years Eve morning, a Saturday so not sure how typical the 20 minute wait is. Not awful, just a wait at 10:00 am. Food came fast waitress Stephanie was extremely good- friendly, efficient, attentive and smiling too! The omelette was great as was the very huge breakfast- Coop special. Coffee came in a little pot which was really nice! Definitely returning and recommending!

Had a GREAT experience! A server named Josh was most attentive. Josh was hardworking and kindhearted. We will be coming back! (For Josh 😬😳)

I love in Philly but I'm a weekend regular! Been going there since before Covid. At home atmosphere. Great service, great staff, great ownership and great food! Ask for Carla if your going in the morning. All the staff is great but Carla is special. Very attentive and quick!
