We stumbled upon The Cookout Kitchen in Frisco when hunger hit hard—and let me just say, they did not disappoint. Honestly, we were a little surprised when the directions took us to the Frisco Fresh Market, but we were open to the adventure. And let me tell you, there were zero regrets. We tried the chicken strips, fried catfish, lemon pepper wings, waffle fries, and the chicken & waffle sandwich—and every single bite was filling, flavorful, and made with love. The seasoning was spot-on, the portions were generous, and it was the kind of comfort food that hits you right when you need it. This was a much-needed reminder that good things really do come in small and unusual packages. Don’t overlook this spot just because it’s tucked away at a market—it’s absolutely worth the stop. #HayiaSo
You ever had a craving for some real southern fried catfish but didn’t know where to go?! Frisco, look no further because I have found the spot! This black owned establishment is located in the Frisco Farmers Market on Saturdays and Sundays. Yall the fish is to die for! Perfectly seasoned and fried! Pictured is the 2pc catfish and fries. This plate ran about $18 which is a tad pricey but I understand that we are in an inflation on top of the fact that it’s seafood. I will probably be pulling up on them again this weekend so beat me there yall!
I was at the Frisco Fresh Farmer's Market for the first time and decided some catfish sounded good. I haven't had catfish in years, but this was possibly the best I've ever had. DELICIOUS. The tartar sauce was good and it came with all the fixings (pickles, slice of white bread, jalapeño). Amazing. 10/10.
Just tried them for the 1st time and my family and I give them 10 stars. We have tried a few places to find the perfect catfish and we have finally found our forever spot and it’s minutes from my house. The fish, shrimp, chicken, and tender seasoned and fried to perfection. The waffle and waffle fries was great! Most definitely have a reoccurring family! Keep up the great work!
Had the catfish and waffles and it was delicious! Perfectly cooked and the flavours worked so well together. The staff were very kind too.
