The Commons on the Green

The UAB commons is a synonym for pure hell. The food is 90% a miss and the other 10% is mid. During lunch time there is NO place to sit. The student population has heavily outgrown the seating and it is not any better when field trips/events happen and take half the building. The outdoor seating is an actual joke. Why should I have to walk entirely around the building, passing the rude staff, just to put my dishes away? The staff who take one card/payments are the RUDEST people I’ve ever met in my entire life. I am genuinely surprised that the same front employees still have a job, specially the older woman with blond short dreads. However, everyone else is so sweet. The people who serve the food actually care if you get fed or not. The only reason this place is still a thing is because UA

I had the breakfast and brunch and it was very good. They kept the items stocked even though it was family weekend and lots of people were dining at the same time. I was impressed with the variety and quality of the food. The bread pudding looked weird but it was one of the best things I ate. $10 for all you can eat.

The cashier who wrong me up was so rude. I would have got better service at Golden Corral. He had an attitude because I was trying to split my payment and seemed annoyed when I asked about the faculty discount. It's not really worth the almost $30 that was paid because the options were super limited.

Every time I go here they have horrible food. It’s either really dried out or is obvious the food sits there all day. Me personally. I have gotten food poisoning at least three times. Most of the people who work there are extremely disrespectful and rude. Personally I am disappointed about the fact that students have to pay so much to eat there and can’t even get decent food that won’t make them sick.

I had a bad night and slept in late. I came in at 10:20. 10 minutes before breakfast closed to grab a waffle. They had begun pulling the toppings and when I asked someone for help I was pretty dismissed. Ms.Angeline went above and beyond and took great care of me and was so kind and gracious.
