It’s a cool, modern, and clean space with plenty of seating. I appreciate the creativity in the flavors, but it can’t hide the low quality of the coffee, it was watery and lacked strength. This place has a lot of potential to be a great local hang, but the beverage quality needs to rise to meet the delightfulness of the space.
Had my first visit at The Comfy Cup today, and to say I was impressed is an understatement. It was hands down some of the best coffee I’ve had in a long time. We tried the coffee flight and a breakfast Sammy, and both were absolutely incredible. The space itself was so warm and inviting. We will most definitely be back!
Just moved to Essex and walk my dogs here at least once a week. Clean, open and inviting vibes. Plenty of seating for work, meet-ups or reading. They have many activities and events for the community! The baristas are always welcoming with a smile and quick service. My wife and I love the specialty lattes - specifically the Hazel Harvest (rich & nutty) and the Campfire (literally tastes like a smoky campfire). We always ask for 1 pump less syrup for a richer coffee taste. The dogs love the pup cups! So happy to have a local, authentic coffee shop to support and enjoy!
This place is so cute! The atmosphere is great, the selection is great. I got a black drip coffee (my standard), and it was brighter than I prefer, but still good. The sticky bun was delicious. They're offering lots of community events too. Unfortunately I already have an obligation every second Tuesday of the month so I can't attend the book club, and I have class every Monday/Wednesday evening for now. I look forward to the summer when I will have more weekday evenings free. I'd love to suggest a craft night (embroidery, knitting, crochet, scrapbooking, etc) on Fridays or the weekends! I live 5 minutes away and I'm very excited this business exists.
I’m so happy that a local coffee shop opened in Essex! Our banana nut muffin was delicious!!! I do think the coffee could be a little better, it could be a bit stronger. It was almost too watery. Aside from that the atmosphere was very cute! Looking forward to seeing this local business grow!
