The Chalet Restaurant

Found this place looking for a spot to eat between appointments and what luck! Delicious food, terrific atmosphere, and the service went beyond 😌 Rachel was my waitress and was so personable it made me feel like we'd been friends for years. We ended up talking about the houseplants over my head, which prompted an unexpected visit from the co-owner Erica who was equally delightful. This is the quintessential community gathering place where you can tell the staff genuinely cares about their customers and providing them with both excellent food *and* an enriching experience. Portions are huge relative to the price, so bring your appetite. Big thumbs up for the pancakes which are the size of NYC sewer caps (possible slight exaggeration). Definitely give this place a look when you're in town

This is another restaurant that I cannot believe. I haven’t gone to in my 40 years in Spokane. It has been here the whole time quietly sitting on grand south of 29th. Very cute building and very welcoming atmosphere. Not too busy early on a Saturday, but it quickly filled up. The four of us in our party were seated right away and immediately greeted with menus and coffee. Very friendly staff and our coffee was never cold! Menu was typical for a breakfast and lunch place and not overly complicated. Our order was taken and delivered quite quickly and the food was piping hot. The Chalet exudes a Leavenworth Bavarian-style vibe, and is unpretentiously charming. I ordered the Salmon Benedict and was surprised that a delicious 7-ounce poached salmon filet was tucked under the Hollandaise sauce. That’s how this place is, easy to underestimate , but if you pay attention, there are gems throughout, like our server, Martha, and an array of locals.

Excellent service love the atmosphere

The restaurant is clean and roomy. Compared to other diners I have been to, this restaurant is good, food is just fine in taste, aesthetic and presentation are very nice. However the 4 star represent the one of the item is a little burnt and too crunchy for my taste. But service is great and the server was attentive to our needs. I will come again for sure.
