We’ve been here several times before. I’m glad we were able to get reservations the day before Valentine’s Day because this place is always in high demand. The food was excellent, but the service was poor. There should be a standard for servers to say their name or introduce themselves and explain the specials. That’s what it’s been in the past, but it seemed optional during this experience and I wasn’t happy about that. Mid service will lead to mid tips a that’s only because I’m in a celebratory mood because I don’t think the server did the work to earn much at all, but I know it’s a difficult job. Just check on your tables. Don’t have other servers see an empty water glass and fill it for your customer. You have to be on it! The food did not let us down. The scallops didn’t miss and were
After seeing beauty and the beast, I was starving and on the hunt for Ruth Chris Steak House. Now, this is no disrespect to Ruth Chris, I still love it, but I am so happy I found the Capital Grille. The atmosphere was absolutely upscale and opulent. The decor was modern yet simple-not over the top. The wait staff was very friendly. Took care of me well. Zero complaints. I loved their outfits honestly. Haha The food was superb. Everything from the fried lobster, to the lobster bisque, to the fillet mignon, to the creamed spinach and ice cream. Absolutely delicious. I have zero complaints and cant wait until I can go back. I hope there is a capital grille near where I live. But I will drive to Philly just for this restaurant.
From the moment we arrived, the experience felt special. We were greeted with a handwritten happy anniversary note and heart confetti on our table… a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire evening. Our server, Stephen C., was exceptional. He was attentive, deeply knowledgeable about the menu and wine offerings, and had the perfect cadence of checking in while still giving us space to enjoy our time together. He also offered several thoughtful recommendations for after-dinner spots before our show, writing them down so we didn’t forget. (If you’re reading this, Stephen C., the views were incredible, thank you!!) From our deep fried lobster tails appetizer to the prime rib and filet, the food was perfect. We’re already looking forward to our next special occasion at The Capital
My wife and I loved the food here. We came here for a date night and it was very very nice. I got the Wagyu Filet Mignon. Very very good. My wife got the salmon. Cooked to perfection. We shared some vegetables and the Prosciutto wrapped mozzarella. Yummmm. The waitress staff was beyond awesome. Kristin was amazing !!! She’s the greatest. We enjoyed her company and how she interacted with us while we were there. Recommended !
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Capital Grille in Philadelphia last month, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. My steak was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and exactly as ordered. My wife, who’s vegetarian, enjoyed a lineup of sides (mac and cheese without the lobster, mashed potatoes, and spinach with garlic), all of which were excellent. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our waiter, Bob, was exceptional—attentive, personable, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with. The highlight of the evening was when he and the manager surprised my wife with her very own crumb sweeper after she mentioned how fascinating it was to watch him use one throughout dinner. They even gave me a steak knife so I wouldn’t feel left out! Small gestures like that highlig
