The Capital Grille

My favorite Houston restaurant. I posted a pic of the by-the-glass Sauvignon Blanc that I ordered and recommend. Reasonably priced too. Expensive meals but portions are very large and kitchen is happy to split the plate. Since we live locally, many times we doggy bag the leftovers and enjoy a second meal at home.

Very nice place to eat. Bathroom was 8 out of 10 in cleanliness. My lobster 🦞 was cooked very well. I will visit again.

We had an amazing experience at The Capital Grille thanks to Melanie. She truly knows the entire menu inside and out and was able to explain every dish in detail, including recommendations and pairings. Her knowledge made the whole dining experience even better. Melanie was extremely kind, attentive, and professional throughout the night. She made us feel welcomed and taken care of from start to finish. You can tell she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about her guests. I highly recommend asking for Melanie when you visit — she is excellent at what she does and made our evening unforgettable!

Overall fantastic experience. Our server, I believe her name was Chentelle, was the BEST. All of her recommendations were amazing and her service was top notch. We will be requesting her next time we go. The folks behind the bar were nice, too. All of the food was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend the balsamic bone in rib eye. It was extremely tender and not overwhelmed by the balsamic sauce. The Kona crusted steak was good, too. The lobster crab cake is a must try appetizer. I’d go back just to have another one! The French 75s were gin heavy, but the others in my party weren’t complaining. I had the passion fruit mojito sans rum (mocktail style) and it was the best drink I’ve had.
