The Capital Burger

The Capital Burger is a great spot in DC, right next to the Convention Center, one minute from the metro, and across from the iconic Apple Store at the Library. The atmosphere feels like a sports bar but works perfectly for any casual occasion: couples, friends, family, or even work groups. The food is classic American with a strong focus on burgers. The menu is small but very well curated, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Even though it gets busy, the staff is on top of everything and the service is always attentive. Excellent value for the price. Easily my favorite burger place in DC 🙂

Hands down the best burger I’ve ever had. I know that’s not saying much as a Canadian, but every time I make it out to D.C., I make a point of coming back. The mushroom burger was exceptional—perfectly cooked, deeply savory, and rich without being heavy. The balance was spot-on, with the mushrooms adding real depth rather than acting as a garnish. The truffle fries were crisp, and well-seasoned. The bacon old fashioned deserves its own mention. Smoky, slightly sweet, and genuinely well-constructed, not a gimmick. It paired surprisingly well with the burger and felt thought-through.

Damn good burger! The capital burger is a French onion style burger, thick, juicy, messy but worth it. The classic bacon burger is simply awesome. The pretzel and dipping cheese, one of the best I’ve had. Nice place in D.C. with an impressive bar as well.
