The Cafe at Casino Pauma

I met the executive chef a few weeks ago when I was dining in another local restaurant, and he mentioned to me how good their burgers were. He claimed they were better than patty and pints, and he also had a new menu worth checking out so I had to stop in. HE WASN'T LYING THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!! This Cafe has bison burgers, as well as 4 other burger options, and the menu is vast. They really bring a spin on the traditional Cafe style dishes. Everything I saw coming out to tables looked very well plated, and sizes were awesome. My wife had the bison short rib stroganoff it was huge, the meat fell off the bone, and the flavor was outstanding. I tried the Lindo valle cheesesteak which had some chorizo, cheese and super soft new York steak inside cheese, poblano & jalapeños with a ciabatta bun.

My husband I stopped here around 2pm. There were no customers, so it was not busy. We sat in a booth. The food was pretty good. But the service was terrible. There was no service . There were at least 10 employees in the kitchen. Every-time we wanted something, we needed to get up and go ask the staff. Doubt if we’ll go back just based on the frustrating service.

We went on Veteran’s Day to take advantage of the offer they had for drinks and food. We had the burger special and it was very tasty! Our server Robin was the sweetest, making sure everything was good. She was really attentive and super nice ! The host was also very sweet. The staff at the café that night were all friendly and nice.

I came for Wednesday all you can eat chicken wings special. It was $9.99 . Cant beat the price. Honestly chicken was really good, fries just salty straight from the vendor, cole slaw not enough flavor on dressing, corn bread and honey butter was good. The only complaint that I have the service was slow. When I ask for another chicken, the server is busy all the time with other table. It is not regular AYCE grab by yourself. They bring it to you. You can request what part of chicken you prefer. But will come back again for the food

Here's an update on The Cafe at Casino Pauma: I don't know the exact date, by as of 2/1/2023 the new menu's have been released!! See the photos I've posted below. I've been to The Cafe several times and they never disappoint. The weekly specials are great as well. Steak and eggs special for breakfast, Prime Rib dinner special on Tuesday and Thursday nights, Friday night is the Surf and Turf buffet!!
