Always rode by this place and never stopped, because I couldn’t figure out how to get in. Finally figured it out and tried it tonight. Every single item we ordered was delicious. It’s very rare we go out and don’t have a single complaint! The Florida fries are AMAZINGGGGGG, the pulled pork is sooooo tasty, even without sauce, and the collards were flavorful. I’m mad I waited this long to try this place out. We will definitely be back. We both kept saying how full we were, but couldn’t stop eating. It was that good. We cleaned our plates.

I often times judge a place on “would I drive to it?” Given this BBQ joint is so so far from where we live! So after eating the burnt ends, a “smoked” baked potato with pulled pork, cheese sauce, bbq beans, sour cream and jalapeños, I can say without a doubt, this is worth the drive! Happy hour EVERYDAY!!! With an additional by day happy hour! Uhhh Thursdays open to close HH FIRE! The staff? Literally took the time to explain their sauces, took pictures for us, talked to us about other BBQ joints they like! Come on! How can you not appreciate someone who loves BBQ so much they give you suggestions on places to visit! So what stood out the most? The sauces by far! 🔥 Hidden BBQ Gem in Jacksonville – Authentic Smoke, Huge Portions, and the Best Collards You’ll Ever Have ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – First Visit to The Butt Hutt Smokehouse (Jacksonville, FL) Stopped in tonight while passing through Jacksonville on my way to Tampa for work — and I’m really glad I did. We got there around 6:40 on a Sunday evening. The place was busy but we still found parking and plenty of outside tables, and we ended up at the bar. Service started strong — our bartender Jacob was friendly, helpful, and quick to make recommendations. Later in the meal, we found out he’s also the owner and pitmaster, which honestly explains a lot about the pride and attention to detail that came through in everything. I ordered the 3 Meat Platter ($18) with Sliced Brisket, Smoked Turkey, and Pork Ribs

Staff was friendly, nice ambience & atmosphere. Some of the best pulled pork I've had+very good Mac n cheese. Sauces on table were too tangy/vinegar for my taste but staff brought lighter sauce upon request with no charge. Was a little expensive for portion sizes. Somewhat small dining area inside but outdoor area had a lot of seating and was pleasant. Larger groups will probably have to sit outside if place is busy.

Today my wife and me went to try BBQ from Butt Hutt and it was totally worth it. We had the banging curry fries with jrk chicken and it was a banger. Then I had the florida brisket sandwich and it was a home run. Please go and support this great little bbq Hutt. Also the bartender was part of the family and made it feel like we belonged there.
